If you’ve ever had to prepare a large quantity of food by hand, you know how strenuous and time-consuming it can be – all that cutting, slicing, chopping and grating can take hours. It’s hard on your hands and wrists, and there’s always the risk of slipping and cutting yourself. Thank goodness for the Kenwood FDP613 Food Processor – it cuts, grates, kneads, grinds and whisks, saving you time and making cooking a joy. Keep reading to learn more!
Must Know Kenwood Food Processor Features
Helps you make salads, soups, mixed vegetables, pizza, pasta, burgers, stir-fry, dips, sauces and purees.
Adjustable pulse and speed for maximum control.
Large 3 litre bowl holds enough food for most families.
Powerful 1000 watt motor easily processes most foods.
It’s hard to appreciate what a food processor like the Kenwood FDP613 can do until you’ve actually used one. Consider soup – that cornerstone of a warm, comforting meal on a cold night (or as a refreshing course when served chilled during summer). The FDP613 can chop, mix and blend soup ingredients far faster than would ever be possible by hand.
What about smoothies? They’re a great way to start the day – just add your preferred combination of fruit, milk, yogurt, protein powder, greens or milk substitute and blend away. You’ll have a delicious, nutrition-packed smoothie in no time, perfect for anyone who’s on the run. And dips, creams, sauces and purees – excellent served on the side or as a garnish – are just as easy.
Even complicated recipes are a snap with the FDP613 – its chopping, mixing and blending functions take all the hard work out of making dough, pasta, pizza, stir fry and burgers. And salads and mixed vegetable dishes – arguably some of the most labour-intensive meals to make (on account of all the slicing, dicing and chopping) are a breeze with the included attachments.
The variable speed and pulse controls give you plenty of control, ensuring your ingredients are perfectly processed. (I’ve tried single-speed food processors in the past, and holding down the button just a few seconds too long can turn food from “chopped” to “pureed”.)
Safe and Easy to Clean
Everyone likes a clean kitchen, but cooking is messy business. Fortunately, the Kenwood FDP613 Food Processor is easy to keep looking like new – the white and grey high-gloss body can be wiped clean, while all the removable parts are dishwasher safe. The powerful 1000 watt motor adds a lot of weight to the processor, but there’s no need to worry about it falling off of the counter – the non-slip feet keep it securely in place, while the power cord can be stowed out of sight.
How Does It Perform?
In a word, it’s wonderful. I’m always on the lookout for well-made, time-saving appliances that free up valuable counter space in the kitchen, and the Kenwood FDP613 Food Processor fits the bill. Despite its powerful motor, it runs quite quietly, and though the bowl is large (which is appreciated whenever I cook for family and friends), it actually reduces kitchen clutter, as there’s little need for cutting boards, knives of various sizes, graters and extra mixing bowls.
It’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it (or rather, into it) very well.
Though the removable parts can be hand-washed, it’s nice to be able to toss them into the dishwasher and give the processor’s base a quick wipe with a damp cloth. The white and grey colour scheme is unobtrusive, and should blend into any kitchen’s décor. If you need a well-made, well-priced food processor, I’d highly recommend taking a look at the Kenwood FDP613.
